Preterism says it already happened. AD 70, Rome burns Jerusalem, and that was the return of Messiah, the resurrection, the judgment.
Except nobody who was there noticed. Josephus never mentions the dead rising. Irenaeus dates Revelation twenty-five years after Nero was in the ground. The man of lawlessness never sat in the Temple.
The silence, the date problem, the moving numbers, and the one question preterism cannot answer.
